On a practical level Flux was what was happening each time I applied paint to the canvas. I moved the canvas while the paint was running so that I could orchestrate the rivulets to where I wanted them, or I allowed them to flow free.

The paintings are also a metaphor for the constant change that happens in life and in all things.

The Flux Series is on show at the Gallery Walls at Café Morandi Gold Street Northampton from 20 August 2010. Also at Kelmarsh Hall with Northamptonshire Open Studios and Exhibition Event 2010.
