Northampton's Mounts Swimming Baths is an Art Deco building with striking arches and original Turkish hot rooms.
In the mid 1980’s the pool would be opened early in the morning for serious swimmers and their trainers only. I joined them one morning to draw.
For the first time the combination of mental concentration with the physical act of drawing became one in a way I hadn’t experienced before.
