Below is what I wrote about these drawings shortly after I'd drawn them in 2020 in the Covid Pandemic:
To draw at night in the crepuscular hours is special. Some drawings are started in daylight in the studio but the magic is in those other hours.
These drawing are after the poems of St John of the Cross, below is one of the stanzas:
'Oh, night that guided me,
Oh, night more lovely than the dawn,
Oh, night that joined Beloved with lover,
Lover transformed in the Beloved!
