There was no paint to be had but there was a pttery so I inprovised and we made paint with tikka powder (which was used to sprinkle over deities) and pottery slip). Linda Sgoluppi
In this photograph, I'm drinking Billy tea made by late friends, Tony and Virginia. A special day to remember, with Suzzee (Suzzee's late sister and husband, and Sarah on Tony and Virginia's property Kirriwah, a station/homestead in the Tooraweenah area of New South Wales roughly 44km northeast of Gilgandra and on the western side of the Warrumbungle Ranges. The Traces series of paintings came after this time in Australia On the property thre was a magical area that we travelled to for an hour on the back of a Ute. I knew on the day that this ws one of those special days I'd always remember. Linda Sgoluppi
In Cornwall 1990. All through my creative life, when distant, the sea was never absent — its rhythms, cadense and that of the Shipping Forecast heard throughout my childhood shaped the sense of self I carry.
